A piece of the series ›Text and Dance‹
Beat the meat until it is tender and supple. Every fiber of the body, knead it, work it. The pig hangs and the barbecue is ready. We dance until the night falls and we celebrate the hell out of that pig.
›Absent‹ cleans up the cliché of the family and dives into an absurd story full of hate and sadness. About one’s skin, about the missing love, about the envious affection. Until somebody hangs!
A farewell to the happy family based very freely on the novel ›The Mussel Feast‹ from Birgit Vanderbeke.
