›Show down‹ is a solo for a human prototype and an entire ensemble’s collection of stories of our origin, newly narrating and retelling the story of incarnation.
backsteinhaus produktion set out on a search for the origin, deconstruct our species, reconstruct our ancestors, and look back 200,000 years in history. They have a go at the moment when it all began. When Homo Erecta took the evolutionary forward role to Homo sapiens, when man was still naked and the stage was empty. When humans and their colleagues, the apes, shared the physical world that separates them.
The ensemble dives into our past, learns and hides, searches for traces, imitates, dances, and invites you on a special ancestral path. And thus prepares the next forward role into another future.
