Nicki Liszta studied dance theatre at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, Tilburg, Netherlands. Since her graduation in 2006 she has worked as a dancer and choreographer in the contemporary dance scene. In 2005 Nicki Liszta founded backsteinhaus produktion and created under this name her own pieces. With her first full-length piece ›zwischen häuten‹ she won the Stuttgart Theatre Award 2008 for the best dance production from Baden-Württemberg. Also nominated in the following years were ›Avatar‹ and ›Superbia‹, ›Absent‹ was in 2015 among the winners. Since 2010, the company has regularly received support and funding from the City of Stuttgart and LaFT Baden-Württemberg. In addition, Nicki Liszta works as a guest choreographer at various city theatres.

Isabelle von Gatterburg studied dance at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, Tilburg, Netherlands. After completing her studies she worked as a freelance dancer in Brussels for two years. From 2008 to 2015 she was worldwide on tour for ›project pq‹ with professional fire-shows and cabarets. Since 2008, she has been working as a dancer for backsteinhaus production and is since 2009 as Executive director and Artistic assistant a permanent member of the company. As a dancer and choreographic assistant to Nicki Liszta, she regularly works at various city theatres and dance schools, and has been a member of the Citizen.KANE.Kollektiv in Stuttgart since 2014 as a dancer and project-manager.

 

 

 

Heiko Giering

Heiko Giering graduated from the Stuttgart State University of Music in 2009 with a diploma degree in jazz and popular music (saxophone), 2010/2011 complemented by a master degree in Jazz Composition at the University of Art in Graz. He is a permanent member of numerous bands and diverse formations, such as Volxtanz (winner of the competition Creole Südwest 2014), Marshall Cooper, Monika Roscher Bigband, Abstract Orchestra, Risikogesellschaft, Wolfgang Schmid’s latest kick. As a musician, Heiko Giering has been working for backsteinhaus production since 2008. Since 2010, he has been a permanent member of the company as musical director and composer.
